I never wished for anything else than for you to be happy, for you to keep shining even if I was no longer the one you would shine for.
That was the last day that version of you spoke with that version of me before they ceased to exist. They faded away and probably went in a journey together, because even if we wouldn't... They would. Somewhere in the sky they became stars and shine brightly, they did everything we said we would and for eternity, they are together.
With them leaving we were left behind, a lesser version of us that had to take off on a journey of its own but contrary to those more dreamy versions of us, this journey we would do alone. Separate paths we took, promises we broke and even in eternity we may only shine on our own.
So please, be happy and shine for yours will always be the one light I look for in the starry night.
